Sections

I taught I’m teaching two online sections in Spring 2007: AO (2637) and BO (2638).
I have one classroom section on Thursday nights in FC 112: E (1533)

As a reminder, food, water, and beverages are NOT allowed in our classroom in the Frear Center. You’ll be asked to leave the classroom building if you want to enjoy a tasty drink and snack. Sorry, but I have to live with these rules, too.

Assignments

All assignments are submitted to TurnItIn.com unless noted otherwise.

Many of these files were removed on 20 July 2007.

Paper 1 was posted on January 11 .

It was due in TurnItIn.com on January 31.

Paper 2 was posted on January 29

Draft was due on February 7 (10 points)
Two peer reviews were due on February 14 (10 points)
The final version was due on February 21 23 (30 points)

Midterm exam was posted on February 22.

The midterm exam was due on March 8.
There are no peer or draft assignments.

Paper 3 was posted on February 22.

Students can select a topic for this paper, or discuss an issue raised in the course blog. Topics and issues must be specific and related to the course material, and not solely based upon a case in the textbook.
The topic was due on March 15 (10 points)
The draft was due on April 3 (10 points)
The peer review was due on April 6 (10 points)
The final version was due on April 11 (70 points)

Paper 4 was posted on April 17. It was due on May 3 (30 points)

The final exam was posted on April 15. It was due on May 10. Check the links on this page for the additional readings, as two of links in the document aren’t working. PDF versions are posted in this ZIP file.

Grading scale

This is a revised grading scale that I used to calculate final grades. The scale in the original syllabus was incorrect.

Textbook

Starting in January 2007, we will use the new 8th edition of the O’Brien/Marakas textbook, ISBN 0073323098. This is a major rewrite, and many of the cases from the 7th edition have been revised or replaced. It’s a bad idea to use the 7th edition in my Spring 2007 courses.
