It’s inevitable that job seekers and graduating students will use more sophisticated methods in their job search. Case in point: the video resume.
I see more and more undergraduates who edit their own videos - it’s as easy and natural for them do so as writing a paper.
I assume that some people got the idea of a video resume from Elle Woods in the movie Legally Blonde. In 2001, this was good for a laugh. In 2010, thanks to YouTube, blogging and Flash, the video resume may become an essential job search tool.
A quick Google search on “video resume” produced over 123,000 results.
Brian Krueger’s brief piece on video resume etiquette has some basic, common sense tips that are helpful.
