Father Damien De Veuster sainthood items on display in downtown Honolulu

Several items from the sainthood ceremonies for Father Damien De Veuster are on display at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Peace in downtown Honolulu. The cathedral is on Fort Street Mall, so I took some pictures last evening after class.

The Honolulu Star-Bulletin ran an article called A royal salute to a saint that describes the koa outrigger canoe that is one of my Flickr pictures below. The koa canoe was used to carry a koa box that contained Saint Damien’s left heel bone.
