We learned that last October 15 after the earthquake. Users need to understand their place in the plan, and the plan should be viable even when electricity and bandwidth aren't available. Having a well documented plan in place AND ensuring that users are aware of the plan AND ensuring users know how to execute the plan in the event of a disaster is of high importance. In IT we like to throw technology at problems in order to make them go away, but when the lights go dim, and the power goes out, RAVE still relies on a powered infrastructure in order to function...
