USAF to set up cyberspace command

Accord­ing to a report on Yahoo, the United States Air Force will estab­lish a cyber­space com­mand at Barks­dale AFB in Bossier City, Louisiana. The fund­ing request is for Octo­ber 2008. Cyber­space is already an oper­a­tional area for the Air Force as of 2005. The com­mand would defend the civil­ian and mil­i­tary inter­estes in the United States.
