Why am I not surprised that the Star-Bulletin has only one news article about the earthquake posted on its front page?

Seriously, anyone outside Hawaii knew much more about what was happening than most of the average people in this state.

My home’s electric power was restored 30 minutes ago, so I am going to make a brief post before I get some sleep.

Seems I have some more material for my disaster recovery planning (DRP) lecture!

Seriously, I hope everyone made it through the earthquake and power outage in good shape. I’m a little sweaty and grumpy, but that will pass.

I’m happy that the earthquake happened on a Sunday morning, when very few people were out and about. On a Monday morning at 0707 HT, this would have been chaos during the morning rush hour.

Except for Gmail on my cell phone, I’ve had no access to any of my online courses since the power first went out at 0720 HT on Sunday morning.

I’ve extended the due date for the IS 6100 paper 3 assignment to Friday, October 20. Looks like at least a third of the class have not submitted the assignment yet. If you would like to me take a peek at your assignment and give you some comments, please send me an e-mail with the subject line “Paper 3 request”
