Hawaii: Conflicts between Dobelle and board threatened UH accreditation: “Conflict between the University of Hawai’i Board of Regents and former President Evan Dobelle threatened accreditation of the university’s three four-year campuses, according to a report released late last night by the UH administration. The report had just been completed by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities (WASC). It said that the ‘serious problems’ between Dobelle and the board jeopardized not only the functioning of the entire UH system, but also progress on the strategic plan to move the system forward. ”
