Sports: Rays Run Streak To Eight — from Tampa Bay Online: “The Devil Rays completed a three-game sweep of the Padres with a 4–1 victory Thursday, extending the team’s record win streak to eight games. The sweep was Tampa Bay’s second in a row (they also swept Colorado at Tropicana Field), a franchise first. It also improved the Rays’ interleague record this season to 8–1, giving them five more victories against the National League than they had in all of 2003. ”
