Pen: Pur­due and a few other uni­ver­si­ties are look­ing at Tablet PCs for fac­ulty and stu­dents. There are a few good anec­dotes from indi­vid­ual users. The price point is still high, but some strong vol­ume could increase com­pe­ti­tion and drive down the prices. Yes, it is a Microsoft ini­tia­tive, but there is some hope for run­ning Linux here and there.
